From Monday, February 17 to Saturday, February 22, the fifth edition of the PacificAus Sports Netball Series was held at Nissan Arena in Brisbane. The series was hosted by Netball Australia, and funded by the Australian Government.

The Australian First Nations team, the Black Swans, was back again and the performance of this team representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders was closely watched. However, they were not eligible to play in the medal matches and were placed 6th.

The five national teams battling it out for the placings and world rankings points, were the Fiji Pearls, PNG Pepes, Samoa Tifa Moana, Scottish Thistles, and Tonga Tala. This was the first time at the tournament for Scotland, while Tonga was looking to continue on their winning ways, having won each of the four previous editions of this event.

The series was streamed live on Kayo Freebies in Australia, FBC in Fiji, TBC in Tonga, and in some other Oceania regions through PacificAus TV. Elsewhere, the matches were viewed for free through Netball Pass.
