Mcleod and Maryann raised excellent points: Brigit Hearn steered Netball Mainland to the iceberg at full speed. She jumped off the sinking ship last year. Aside from the Tactix, the people involved in community netball deserved better than what Hearn dished out. Before the netball zoning restructures, the Tactix went through a laundry cycle worth of CEOs.
They may not have sold out every home game, but the Flames attracted better crowd attendances than the Tactix. Adjusting for inflation, It was cheaper to buy tickets to Flame home games. The Flames played a lot fewer home games than the Tactix. Unfortunately, the Flames crossed the bridge into the Tactix Chernobyl zone too long ago.
Perhaps the Stars are better placed than the Mystics to weather the storm. The Stars resemble the Steel, they are community-focused and attract good crowds at a modest size venue.
