Probably my favourite player, particularly a few years back when she would shoot 20+ goals from anywhere with such a perfect technique. I think it’s often forgotten how incredible she was in that 2011 Firebirds unbeaten season – plus NWC gold the same year. Medhurst/Aiken & Medhurst/Bassett were two of the deadliest circles we’ve ever seen (Diamonds combo with McMahon also great).
A real shame she wasn’t able to add a second premiership in her latter years and not able to play out a final swan song.
I really hope she’s not lost to netball. Would love to see her join the commentary ranks.
