The scenes at the end of today’s game were very emotional; so many Firebirds and Magpies players embracing a teary Mi Mi. Jenke gave her shoulder a pat. During the game Jenke did give a courtside interview with one of the commentators – Sue from memory. She was asked if she would have put Mi Mi on the court last week in retrospect (I cannot remember the exact question), but Jenke’s response was ‘that’s an interesting question and said her Job Description was ‘winning’. She’s already said she didn’t read the community feeling correctly, why shy away from that?
This on top of her coaching the defenders to wave their hands in front of shooters lining up for a shot and not coaching Jenner out of her rough play, I’m more and more disappointed with Jenke who I loved as a player.
