@RMB what I also picked up from Willering in The Netball Show podcast re comments about Fitzpatrick is she said sometimes Sulu is too team/unit focused and that can affect her own game and getting/causing turnovers. A lot of chat, little conversion.
To Heffernan, even though she’s a sure goer for WD for the Ferns I think Bloxham needs to keep her at C for the Steel to keep bringing along the feeding and vision skills. I would keep Winders at WD, and of course we’re yet to find out who the Steel’s new WA is.
MRB has to get the start in Tauranga surely. If her and Toeava were in the team for the four tests I’d say give Peta the WA bib again but surely Noeline is wanting to survey all her options before Gordon and Poi come in.
Am sure Souness will take a lot of heart from that game. Her and Heffernan were running after everything, but importantly the coverage was there when they went for ball.
Be a great challenge for Jury and Karaka to back it up, against different personnel (sensing Garbin will get the GS start in Game 2) and strategy from the Diamonds.
I reckon Noeline will keep the shooters and defence the same to go for the win next up, then blood Maia, Kayla and Elle in the Australian leg, with fresh midcourt legs.
