I was there last night and from my perspective, the kiwis were giving as good as they got. Umpires should have shut it down much sooner, but it definitely wasn’t a one-way “poor kiwis, Aussies rough” thing. Ultimately, play to the whistle and adjust if needed. The diamonds clearly came there with a mission and achieved it.
As an aside, I was pleased to see Garbin get a whole game. There were a few points where they weren’t finding her on the feed as easily and I saw Koenen warming up, but she was left out there to work through it, and it paid off.
