If you look at what appears to be the latest set of NNZ accounts available online, ie the 2021 annual report, it says that Netball nz recieved $13m in sponsorship and $7m in grants and sport nz funding. So broadcast revenue is not the only source of revenue for NNZ. Just a flick through the report showed an extraordinarily large list of head office staff. Maybe a few cuts there would be in order considering – have they actually progressed the sport in the last decade? I’d say not. Just a seems like a top heavy organisation with a lot of mouths to feed.
