That was a great performance from SCL, but they’ve come up against a side that’s just too good right now.
I’ve just realised that one of the teams that make the top 4 and therefore finals could actually only have had SIX wins in the season! Lightning is in 4th (until tmrw at least, if Mavs beat Swifts there’ll be three of them stuck together) with three wins – isn’t this crazy?
AFAIK the top 4 have always had 8+ wins. I even remember doing the stats on this for an article! At that point, only Collingwood had made finals with less than 9 wins, and that was only once. Worth thinking about if anyone cares to analyse it.
