Some thoughts: good to see Pearson get on court, and I thought she did some nice stuff, particularly at WA. She’ll only get stronger now she’s seen the pace of the game. Her shot didn’t waver either, which is good.
Gone are the days when England shot at 60% and we accepted it – how refreshing.
Good to see Cobden back on court and also Rattu get some court time: actually thought she did really well with Amy Carter.
Why oh why did England take Cardwell if she’s injured? Didn’t they learn anything from the Harten fiasco at the CWG? What gives?
And I am not convinced that Quashie is the answer at GK: let’s just hope Alice Harvey gets a go in test two. Do we have so few GKs in the Superleague that they’re the only options? Maybe reducing squads to only 10 players isn’t the best answer.
Let’s just hope they can remove the daft passing errors for game 2, now the side has adjusted to the pace of the game – I have faith!
