I kind of understand why Swifts signed Verity. Like others have mentioned, they are obviously going for experience.
I think the other factor is, Nweke “may” only be there for one season. Instead of developing someone, they will want to capitalise by going for experience.
In saying that, I wouldn’t have gone for Simmons. I would have tried to get Kelsey Browne, if she was available.
