Hopefully McKinnis takes that as a message to play her TPs more. I much prefer Sexton to Caris and in her limited court time she had immediate impact. I hope that Lavis is their 11th player, with her speed and super shot ability she would offer them a genuine strategic selection option. Was great to see the Lavis – Graham combination at the end as a preview for the future.
All the TPs were great whereas it was the basic unforced errors by Diamonds and established SSN players that were the Vixens problem this weekend. Sloppy.
But there a few things Vixens can leave in regional NSW, Garbin at GA, Austin at GS, Weston’s wind up pass and the drop balls.
Giants look good. They need a fit and firing Harten. O’Brien looks to be in for a big year, keep this up and she will be in Fast 5. Nice to see Fitzgerald’s faith being rewarded. Hope White is going to be a star. I guess the question for them is how many extra levels can they go to? I don’t know but it’ll be fun to watch. Giants have a bright future with all this young talent.
