So, back by nobody’s demand, I’m going to do a blogging match report for what I HAD thought might be the final preview for the current Pac-Aus tournament. I am watching on Kayo on delay, and this is not the opinion of NS necessarily, it’s just me being a fan.
I do love this tournament, and that Scotland have come to invade our Eurovision. I’ve liked Em Nicholl for a long time (tenacious GD for Scotland and captain) so this is very fun. As it turns out, this week is dominated by WAs (my position) and GDs. Emma Love is also a fave.
Scotland have a built through working together often and having secured better funding (not enough, it’s quite uni based and not many play professionally). It is impressive how Gail Parata (NZer) powered up their high performance pathways to where Sirens and Thistles are now. Kiwis are good for sport. You can see how Gail has inspired them to continue with elite conditioning (she fought hard and got results) and youth development. This is a pretty young squad. Veteran Emma Barrie (and EL, the two Emmas) have been important this series.
