Q2 the veterans have decided to put it all out, in particular Love (Scotland) and Hansen (Tonga) have been great. Uneeq Palavi is brilliant on her shot most importantly, but her variety and timing on holds are just so good, and her understanding with Hansen, I just love it. I put a lot of credit there with Nat Avellino, Swifts assistant coach. I don’t want to say a shooter is the best for no reason, but… Palavi is outstanding, as long as they connect with her.
The contrast of players and styles is there all the time. Neither team would be happy with that kind of finishing that they’d want. The whole week could be dominated by a team that was more consistent and had a mental edge, and that’s not even in the game plan, it’s really just a few better decisions and neater passes. Both these styles and teams are strong enough.
