2 POINT SHOT!

What a disaster this will be.

This rule is ridiculous!!! If you look at Fever’s games last year, they came within close range alot of times and with this rule, I can imagine the pressure Teague-Neeld will go through. Lightning won’t have a problem with this rule as Steph Wood would really sink those long bombs when needed and Proscovia as backup rebound.

What I hate the most is that it entirely devalues good feeders who can thread the needle and good defenders who can keep their shooters away from the post.

If it was any other year the players might have gone on strike. But given they’re absolutely hanging out for a game of netball I can’t see that happening…but we can dream

And rolling subs, it just gets worse.

What a joke. I can’t even understand why. They’ve just taken advantage of the unique circumstances this year to introduce a rule that fans don’t want, players don’t want, Coaches done want, but the people at the top want cause they’re hoping it’ll attract new fans even though it’s going to have so many consequences. This is bad for current fans, for the national team, and the branding of netball. Can’t just change it, imagine adding a four point shot into basketball or something.

I’m really hoping that in Round 1 a commentator interviews a shooter about the 2 points shot and they say something like this:
When I heard about the introduction of the two point shot I thought it was awful and frankly stupid and two months down I still think the same thing.

This on national TV by a player willing to take the risk would really be something
