Hahahhahaaaaah, knew it would happen, what a sad day for Netball in Australia.PICASSO123ParticipantJune 23, 2020 at 1:21 pmPost count: 172
This rule is ridiculous!!! If you look at Fever’s games last year, they came within close range alot of times and with this rule, I can imagine the pressure Teague-Neeld will go through. Lightning won’t have a problem with this rule as Steph Wood would really sink those long bombs when needed and Proscovia as backup rebound.WaylayParticipantJune 23, 2020 at 1:26 pmPost count: 267
Firebirds will be worst off I reckon. Aiken and Tippett never shoot long.WaylayParticipantJune 23, 2020 at 1:28 pmPost count: 267
What I hate the most is that it entirely devalues good feeders who can thread the needle and good defenders who can keep their shooters away from the post.Ian HarkinModeratorJune 23, 2020 at 1:31 pmPost count: 20968WaylayParticipantJune 23, 2020 at 1:34 pmPost count: 267
If it was any other year the players might have gone on strike. But given they’re absolutely hanging out for a game of netball I can’t see that happening…but we can dreamal_exParticipantJune 23, 2020 at 1:36 pmPost count: 1198
It says a lot about how bad this rule is when Thwaites, from the club that will absolutely benefit the most from the change, is openly against it.mcleodParticipantJune 23, 2020 at 1:44 pmPost count: 1711

What a joke. I can’t even understand why. They’ve just taken advantage of the unique circumstances this year to introduce a rule that fans don’t want, players don’t want, Coaches done want, but the people at the top want cause they’re hoping it’ll attract new fans even though it’s going to have so many consequences. This is bad for current fans, for the national team, and the branding of netball. Can’t just change it, imagine adding a four point shot into basketball or something.
Exactly 112 comments complaining on the Instagram post from SSN.
I’m really hoping that in Round 1 a commentator interviews a shooter about the 2 points shot and they say something like this:
When I heard about the introduction of the two point shot I thought it was awful and frankly stupid and two months down I still think the same thing.
This on national TV by a player willing to take the risk would really be somethingJamesParticipantJune 23, 2020 at 2:09 pmPost count: 166
This is so stupid!
I went to the charity match and it was horrible to watch. The only exciting part was the money
ANZ Premiership and NetballNZ must be cheering as they have just gained a lot of new fans from AustraliaWaylayParticipantJune 23, 2020 at 2:20 pmPost count: 267
Take a look at C’Bass’ instagram story. Pretty funny and spot on.
