Again, I don’t know how many times I have to say this. She might be good in defence but I don’t like seeing Jo weston WITh the ball or anywhere near the ball when we have it!!!

Diamonds expected a whistle and may have joist lost the game for themselves.

Diamonds with just too many turnovers at the wrong time but to be fair, there are some new combinations at work there but they need to work on those crucial time intercepts because NZ defensive effort was really there for so much of that game

Regardless of the scoreline, what an amazing game to watch.

                NT trialling the GD position.

                LA also mixing things up.

That was an intense game! Typical trans Tasman close encounter!

Not much to say really other than bring on the next game!

Game could have went either way. It was pretty close throughout.

                          Full time: NZ 53-52

                          Ekenasio 29/31 (94%)
                          Folau 24/26 (92%)

                          Tippett 24/25 (96%)
                          Bassett 26/30 (87%)
                          Thwaites 2/2 (100%)

                          Assists: Langman 27
                          Gains: Weston 4

                          Penalties: Aust 62-40
                          Turnovers: Aust 22-20

Seriously, we may as well have been just re-watching the closing stages of the final from Liverpool. The similarity was incredible. Well done NZ on a great fight back after Aust looked on top at 3/4 time. Aust had a chance late in the game and didn’t capitalise. The Ferns did!

I thought the game was gone in the traditional championship 3rd quarter. Burger comes on and the whole dynamics for the Silverferns change. Amazing game.

Finally able to sign in. The site has been super slow on all devices in the past few days.

                                Great match.
Both teams had great moments and messy moments.
Burger at GD won it for Ferns. Karaka was doing fine, but after that 3rd quarter something had to change.

Eke… what a player. Hands down the most important player for NZ right now. Langman a close 2nd.

                                Saunders stepped up today.

Tippet Braz and Weston were best on court for Aus.

NZ should start with Burger on Wednesday.
