bit patchy on the commentary for the international stream, but it is nice to hear the GK’s calling out

Loving watching the @ANZPremiership this morning @SkyNetball
Toeava – producing a master class for any young WA on quick release and vision into the circle in this 1st half!
Nweke – what an exciting young talent for @northernmystics https://t.co/S7bphJkFLJ

Wow, McPhee really backs her long shots!
Fitzpatrick and Karaka with the lift! But a great rebound from Latu-Meafou
2 little against the pole throw ins from ALM. McPhee is so dangerous from that high circle zone that the defenders keep giving ALM too much room on that baseline,
And Earle tracks the ball well for another intercept!
Mystics will have half of the NZ Youth team in 2021. Nweke, Tui, Earle,
3/4 time: Mystics 34-30
McPhee 20/28 (71%)
Latu-Meafou 10/14 (71%)Nweke 31/35 (89%)
Saviour Tui 2/2 (100%)
Grapes 1/4 (25%)Magic threatened in that quarter, but a bit of hesitancy in the attacking third led to a turnover and Mystics pulled away again.
Nice game, I haven’t been that impressed by the Mystics in quite a while! Earle, Karaka, Toeava and Nweke were dominant.
The Magic shooters need to work on their percentage. McPhee’s long shooting is impressive but with how tall and good at rebounding defenders have become, teams don’t win with 70% GSs anymore. I thought the ball movement and creativity in the Magic attack end was also really impressive though.

Full time: Mystics 47-40
Mystics:
Nweke 41/45 (91%)
Tui 5/5 (100%)
Grapes 1/4 (25%)Magic:
McPhee 26/38 (68%)
Latu-Meafou 14/18 (78%)Assists: Toeava 27, Souness 14
Gains: Karaka 7, Mikaere 6Great game for the first one back. Mystics just too good.
Player of the match: Toeava
Well deserved.
Yay so nice to see some netball on TV again!
Big fan of the young guns coming through. Not a Grapes fan, but she was a good third feeder. Emily Burgess was impressive, didn’t know she was an Aussie.
I loved the Magic attack end. I thought Souness just brings so much stability in attack. Mcphee is really becoming a threat. That turn and shoot is going to be a problem.
Aw Toeava is so shy in the MVP interview. I’m always a fan of the no look pass. I thought that had gone from the game. Good first game back, bring on tomorrow’s game.
Toeva had a great Game but I dont like her attitude on court. Continually back chatting umpires, and delaying play.
Is Emily Burgess have dual citizenship or something as she came back to Adelaide during Covid and obviously got back into NZ, but Georgia Marshall still stuck in Sydney.
Nweke is a talent. Height wise Mikaere is probably the only defender(Maybe swift) who can match her, and she beat all other defenders last year.
Is Tui eligible for WYC next year? She’s a much better option than Grapes for Mystics. -
