1/4 time: Pulse 14-13
Wilson 11/12 (92%)
Hume 2/3 (67%)Dunn 8/8 (100%)
Ekenasio 6/6 (100%)Wow, what a first quarter. Great quality in attack, and so high scoring. This is the type of score you would expect in a 15 minute quarter! Stars right in it. So far.
That was a quarter of two halves – Pulse out to a good lead at first, but then Stars found their mojo, and Wilson, and came back to be only down by 1 – 14-13 – at quarter time.
Pulse attack is insane! Gordan, Eke and Dunn are just on fire!
Sadly for Stars, this second quarter is a bit more like what I thought might happen. Pulse are just an incredible machine in this sort of form.
1/2 time: Pulse 35-21
Wilson 16/19 (84%)
Hume 5/8 (63%)Dunn 26/26 (100%)
Ekenasio 9/9 (100%)Incredible quarter. Pulse just totally dominant. 21 goals to 8 in a 12 minute quarter is just astonishing. Their defence got on top and they capitalised in attack. Still yet to miss.
Woah. 35-21 at halftime. Burger & Kersten stepped up out the front so no easy ball to Wilson who had to move out of circle more. More ball gave them fast breaks, stars couldnt disrupt ball like they did before which meant purvis and burley were exposed. Crazy netball @SkyNetball

Hume is the weakest link.
Why did they sign her????
Yet she is still on court…!!!- This reply was modified 4 years, 2 months ago by Netballfan.

Noel’s helping Stars! Given they only lost to Pulse by 4 in the GF last year, maybe she should step away from the coaches.
Wonder how Dunn’s fitness counts are going? Will she get into the squad this year?
The Pulse have such easy flow on attack, just such amazing ball speed and connection. Gordon is so good, she reminds me of a young Kim Green. The WYC midcourt for NZL next year will be outstanding.
I don’t know how Dunn is failing these fitness tests, she looks fit and strong to me. The Ferns could really use her I think.
Hume is another player that needs to work on her accuracy. GAs need to be 80% shooters nowadays. Her movement at GA is nice and I think she reads the space well but she’s missed some sitters.
3/4 time: Pulse 52-29
Another dominant quarter for Pulse. 17-8. They’re putting on an incredible show here. They’ve finally missed their first shot at goal in that Q. Now sitting at 52/53!!!
