If the Pulse play this game, like the 4th Q of yesterday, it could be a very big win.

I just assumed for double rounds, teams would stay in a hotel (not travel per match day). Just that little bit tougher for the southern teams.

Possession and shooting accuracy will be essential for the Magic to gain some vital points. Still amazed at 100% from Ekenasio and Dunn.

Did I imagine Ekanasio – in an interview last week or the week before – saying she doesn’t have a goal ring at home? How did she practice her shots while in lockdown?

                1/4 time: Pulse 12-11

                Dunn 6/6 (100%)
                Ekenasio 6/7 (86%)

                McPhee 9/10 (90%)
                Latu-Meafou 2/2 (100%)

Good game so far. Pulse couldn’t quite keep up the 100% shooting but they’ve only missed one.

Magic’s wheels fell off in the second quarter.

If this Pulse leads continues, would love to see the bench utilised.

                        1/2 time: Pulse 29-16

                        Dunn 17/19 (89%)
                        Ekenasio 12/14 (86%)

                        McPhee 13/16 (81%)
                        Latu-Meafou 3/3 (100%)

Well, Pulse really put the foot down there and Magic had no answer. The defence got right on top. 7 gains to none, in that quarter including 3 to Jury. 17-5 for the quarter!

                          3/4 time: Pulse 41-23

                          Ekenasio 21/24 (88%)
                          Metuarau 2/4 (50%)

                          McPhee 16/20 (80%)
                          Williams 4/4 (100%)

A few changes in that quarter, but it made no huge difference as Pulse pushed on and increased their lead.

Gosh the Magic have some issues, Holly Fowler who I thought was playing well, now on the bench. Coach seems out of ideas.

Why didn’t Magic put Mikaere back on?

Overall a sloppy second half. On a positive note, great to see both use their bench and test combinations.

As Winters and the commentators mentioned, the Magic targeting the Stars with fresher legs.
