Well, it’s almost as if Pulse just decided to start playing at 3/4 time. A 9-1 start to the last quarter and they’ve blown the game wide open.
Pulse just too strong in the end. Metuarau must be listening to her mum. Because her defensive efforts are damaging to teams.
Metuarau the difference again.
Dunn/Eke combo on fire again.
Steel should have got a bonus point. Terrible last quarter from them
As a Pulse supporter, I was fully expecting the Steel to win by half time. Shame no bonus point.
Clever strategy using the bench for a two game round by the Pulse. Tiana Metuarau is such an exciting player.47/47 for Pulse. Incredible.
Metuarau’s 10 goal assists in a single quarter is sensational. She’s got a very clever netball brain and an eye for space.
Full time: Pulse 47-40
Pulse:
Ekenasio 25/25 (100%)
Dunn 22/22 (100%)Steel:
O’Connell 27/32 (84%)
McCollin 13/14 (93%)Assists: Crampton 16
Gains: Jury, Burger, Selby-Rickit 3MVP: Ekenasio
Under pressure, Pulse responded. Metuarau the super-sub!
So both teams handling pressure very differently in the last as Pulse finish strongly 47-40. but they were tested and weaknesses highlighted. Metuarau making an impact once again. She demands ball, she looks in fearlessly and allows Ekenasio freedom. Great game @SkyNetball

Surely Metuarau is on NT ‘kids’ radar.
I think tomorrow they should go with
Dunn, Ekenasio, Metuarau, Gordon, Kersten, Burger, Jury to start with.
I think they probably were planning to rest more players today but Steel really took the game to them in the first 3 quartersCan just imagine how good Nweke and Metuarau will be at U21 level together
She is a good young player, but I hope coaches dont turn her into a midcourt player. Her future is GA and some stints at WA.
Noels has already said they will be incorporating the U21 program into the Ferns system this year.
So, might see Nweke Tui Metuarau Gordon learning from the best during the Cadbury Series. Exciting times for NZ netball
O’Connell needs to stop passing the ball out. She’s been playing elite netball a while now and still doesn’t even turn to post, just panics and passes it back.
