Sadly, another horse (Anthony Van Dyck) has died from injuries suffered in the race this year. Something needs to be done. It only seems to happen to overseas horses and it only happens in this race. There’s something they’re doing wrong.
Lots of reasons Ian – could be too much strain on an already weakened joint, rough patch on the track, faulty shoeing. Very sad for all concerned.
