Ruth Aryang WANankivell and Dwan are both 20, do they not make the U21 cut off?
Is the U21 squad now different to the squad named for WYC?Yes, Dwan and Nankivell would be great for the WYC, wondering why they aren’t there but I’m thinking that the squad must be different because unless eligibility isn’t going to be altered for this WYC and the exceptional circumstances, this is the squad that had been announced.
Nyah Allen – South Australia
Sunday Aryang – Western Australia
Lucy Austin – South Australia
Chelsea Blackman – South Australia
Maggie Caris – Victoria
Georgia Dent – South Australia
Sophie Dwyer – New South Wales
Macy Gardner – Queensland
Kimberley Hearnden – South Australia

Clare Iongi – New South Wales

Tyler Orr – South Australia
Martina Reekers – Queensland
Maddison Ridley – Victoria
Trinity Rond – Western Australia
Amy Sligar – New South Wales
Allie Smith – Victoria
Tayla Williams – South Australia
Sarahpheinna Woulf – QueenslandAlso very surprised that some of the players from the Under 17 SA development team made the National excellence squad over other members of the actual team
Wait there actually seem to be multiple differences between the WYC squad named previously and the current U/21 Squad and not all of the missing names are on the verge of being ineligible, there are some U/17 players missing from that list. I don’t think the U/21 Squad is the WYC Squad because if the WYC is at the end of 2021 or early 2022, those players would be ineligible, but then I wonder why Nnakivell and Dwan aren’t there. Maybe they will be part of the wider DImaonds squad?
I think you’ll find that Maisie turns 21 this year
Tippa 21 this year too 😉
So many good shooters coming through.
Dwyer/Horjus/Gardner/Williams/Smith/Aryang/McDonell is such a good team. Would love to see them take on the Baby Ferns.
Nankivell and Dwan are both 20, but both turning 21 soon, which makes them above the age criteria for what they want.
So breaking down the 21 squad by SSN club and Giants are well represented:
Giants: McDonnell and TPs Letherbarrow, Dwyer, Tombs and Iongi.
Swifts TP: Coleman
Firebirds: Gardner and TP Stower
Lightning TP: Wolf
Collingwood TP: Allen and Orr
Thunderbirds TP: Horjus, Blackman and Williams
Fever TP: Aryang
Vixens TP: McDonald, Barkmeyer and Smith, Vixens Academy: Coffey and Mundy.
Did I miss any?
