Dear Channel 9 and Dear Premier,
Please please please don’t schedule press conference on Sunday 18th October between 1 – 3.30pm AEDT. One of the Melbourne netball teams – the Vixens – were minor premiers in the Suncorp Super Netball competition and are playing in the Grand Final on that day at that time.
The game is broadcast on 9. There have been two times when the Press Conferences have been at the same time as an SSN game, including one in the last round of ‘away and away’ which was to determine the placings of 2-4.
Channel 9, you broadcast the Press Conference that day, and when you went to the game it was not from the start, but from LIVE. In the case of the decider game that was a quarter and a half into the game ie about 40 minutes of game and opening commentary was missed.
Please consider the timing of the Press Conference for Sunday and don’t make the two events clash. Premier, you have all morning to have the important Press Conference.
Thanks in advance,
JR
