Potgieter misses again, but to be fair it quite a long shot for her
Nelson with two super shot this quarter, she’s really stepping up for the inexperienced magpies attack
You feel like Tbirds should be further in front right now. They appear to have dominated for much of the game and the NNP certainly suggests that.
1/2 time: Tbirds 33-29
Potgieter 20/24 (83%)
Horjus 9/10 (90%) 2/4 (50%)Nelson 13/16 (81%) 2/4 (50%)
Sinclair 6/9 (67%) 3/4 (75%)Magpies still well and truly in this. Tbirds have been on top since halfway through the first Q but just haven’t been able to shake them.
Magpies are doing well considering their midcourt is new.
This coverage really reinforces that there is no need to have the Channel 9 muppet hosts back. Missing Cox & Ellis.
Den Dekker is OK, apart from calling Molly Jovic, Molly Djokovic lol. I wonder if she’s patched things up with the T’Birds…
I really hope Horjus is included in the Diamonds development squad. She’s just fantastic. Nankivell too.
Thunderbirds struggling to convert and the score is close to being equal now. Thunderbirds really have no excuse not to win this in my opinion
Scores level three minutes into the second half with no scoring from the Thunderbirds. Sterling is mistiming her contests outside the circle as well as some easy rebounds that she should be getting

Magpies now take the lead
…and just like that Magpies are in front.
Potgieter just not doing good enough they need a change there and just general sloppy mistakes from the team are costing them dearly
Williams comes on at C to help with the Thunderbirds transition
It’s taken half the 3rd Q but Tbirds are on the board!
Thunderbirds score for the first time after 7 minutes and 23 seconds
