Stacey M won’t have Fowler for the Diamonds. Very, very different game plan required as Diamonds coach.

How poorly does Philip need to play to get benched? Kumwenda was fine and should have stayed on. The problem is ahead of her.

Didn’t think Dehaney was the problem.

What does Honey need to do to get a go?

Yes Colyer is a big loss to Fever but the importance of Mannix to Vixens is being shown.

Aryang is going to be a super star.

Gaudion pay attention to the game… UMoore clearly “WD you are offside first”… Gaudion “it’s offside but not sure by who??” ….Cath Cox it’s Smith on at WD we haven’t seen much of her… no Cath you haven’t seen any it is her debut how do the commentators miss such easy stuff.

Weston gets a win but Moloney goes offside…. sigh. Oh well Weston forces a held ball.

Vixens don’t deserve this very generous margin of only 7 goals, the super shot is changing the game here too much

Absolutely no disrespect to Colyer, but I think Fever have actually found their best attacking line. Cosh balances off Charles a bit better and I think they play with more patience and discipline when she’s on.

Kumwenda threatening to shoot the Vixens back into the match.

Very short held ball called on ATN, not sure how I felt about that call but she worked very hard and got a tip to the ball and back into Fever’s hands

I think Vixens got 4 or 5 super shots this quarter and now the margin is 6

Arrrrghhhhhh!!!, The 2 point shot keeps the game close.

Marinkovich won’t have Fowler for the Diamonds but her substitution decisions have been far more impactful. Cosh has had a great game and Aryang has made great impact since she came on. Meanwhile McKinnis has benched Kumwenda twice when she’s probably been the strongest Vixen, and hasn’t addressed the issues in the midcourt whatsoever. The super shot has brought the Vixens back into this but that’s not something the Diamonds will have at international level either.

Allie Smith is having a great debut. Hopefully gives McKinnia confidence to use her in the future rather than switching Weston to WD. Weston is their best circle defender and without Mannix she definitely needs to be in the circle. Had an impact at GK.

Held ball calls very inconsistent (looking at you Thwaites…)

Stacey also won’t have time outs, or rolling subs.

                            Very disappointing umpiring.

But all the SSN coahces have pretty much use the time outs and rolling subs quite heavily so that challenge would apply to any SSN coach that moves into that role and applies to all the players too

                                Fever up 53-51

Vixens are truly within reach of winning, momentum has swung their way – supershot or not

                                  3/4 time: Fever 51-45

                                  Kumwenda 14/15 (93%)4/8 (50%)
                                  Thwaites 13/13 (100%) 3/5 (60%)

                                  Fowler 47/50 (94%)
                                  Teague-Neeld 2/3 (67%)1/2 (50%)

Vixens do NOT deserve to be this close. Fever have outplayed them for most of this game. Without super shots, the margin would be 12. After what’s happened so far, I think Vixens are likely to finish over the top of Fever here, and it will be a bitter pill to swallow for genuine netball fans.
