Will be interesting to see how Vixens go without Watson.
Watson was dominating Hadley and the feeds. Proud dominating Moloney. Honey after games on the bench with no game time has to perform.
If Watson can’t come back Swifts will run away with it.
Weston – Dehaney are a terrible combination. Change it now.
Housby shoots a 2 pointer to draw with Vixens – 17 all – at quarter time.
The Vixens/Swifts rivalry reminds me of the Diamonds and the Silver Ferns. Always intense and exciting matches between them regardless of the teams’ forms coming in.
I don’t think Watson’s ankle injury is too serious, just landed a bit awkwardly on it. Hopefully she’ll be back on once they’ve re-strapped everything. Klau has really put some hesitation in the Vixens’ feeds.
1/4 time: 17-17
Wallace 12/13 (92%)
Housby 3/3 (100%) 1/2 (50%)Kumwenda 12/12 (100%)
Thwaites 3/3 (100%) 1/1 (100%)Great match. Lots of good battles all over the court. Vixens were up for much of that Q but a Helen Housby super shot in the last second tied it up.
Liz Watson landed awkwardly and had to go off. Hope she’s okay.
Brilliant quality.
Hard to not be blown away with Thwaites has done to turn herself into a very solid GA.
If Watson can come back I’d bring her on at C and leave Honey. Moloney is being well beaten.
Klau is working so hard and getting so close, I think is she just positions herself a little better, she will be getting her hand to a lot of ball. Would like to see her have a good game today, she has been a little inconsistent this season in comparison to last year
Weston wins Vixens the ball.
Watson back at WA and very very proppy.
Kumwenda exceptional at the moment. Great to see her back to full form.
Watson drives (which is a trot by her usual standards) the pocket and pulls Klau with her and Thwaites feds Kumwenda from well in the centre third.
Proud getting no attention from the commentators. But I think she is having a brilliant game.
Klau gets the top. Reward for effort. Ohh Watson wins it back.
And finally, Klau’s hard work causes a turnover ball, but then her team lose it on the transition but not to fear Klau pulls another intercept and then Swifts throw it away again, but luckily VIxens get a short pass call.

Vixens should take Watson off. Yes she is dominating g the feeding but is making umcharestic errors as she is clearly very very ginger on that ankle.
They need to weigh up the worth of losing Watson for future games if she makes her ankle worse by playing, need to be more cautious with this condensed season
