Massive replay from one of the Firebirds attackers I think but I can’t tell who, umpires miss it

Horjus with three super shot this quarter which is very helpful for their confidence even though Firebirds are doing the same on the other side

One second left and Jenner gives away an unnecessary contact call and Horjus drops another goal

Dunkley has been so strong, also in Defence. The Firebirds midcourt depth is astonishing! Everyone in the Firebirds attack have really stood up the last few weeks.

I’m not a fan of slagging umpires but James Matthews often makes quite strange calls, especially in pressure moments. A few weird calls at the end there which really favoured the T’Birds.

Kim Jenner having another great game. Loving the patience from the Firebirds attack, that’s where they are winning this game. Horjus has been good for the T’Birds.

                    1/2 time: Firebirds 35-28

                    Potgieter 14/15 (93%) 1/1 (100%)
                    Horjus 4/4 (100%) 4/6 (67%)

                    Aiken 26/30 (87%)
                    Dwan 7/7 (100%) 1/5 (20%)

That was the Georgie Horjus show. She got Tbirds back into it. Firebirds controlled the rest of the qtr to get the lead out to 12 at one stage.

I’d like to see Glasgow brought on. Potgeiter isn’t doing anything wrong but I think Glasgow’s screening and different style of hold will benefit the midcourt and give them some confidence.

Tippah Dwan and Georgie Horjus. They’ve both been playing at this level of the game for less than 6 weeks.

Agree Jbass, I think Glasgow would also make the defenders have to change it up a little and give them more to think about on their feet. Crazy how good Horjus and Dwan have been for just 6 weeks of netball Ian! Great future for both of them

I agree, Glasgow is too good to be on the bench. But yes, Potgeiter isn’t doing too much wrong.

I’m really liking Aikens movement in and out of the circle tonight. She has reinvented her game plan looks happier on court. Maybe the new combination with Dwan has done something.

Whatever you’re doing Jenke, keep doing it. 👍

Someone mentioned how timeouts break the momentum a team works hard to build in an unfair way. Totally agree, I would like to see a reduction in timeouts, one per half per team at most. Not good for international games where there won’t be any chance for breaks and players will need to adapt on the court to what is happening.

Petty needs to let go of the ball, there were options yet she caused a held ball, not good and just as Thunderbirds were gaining some momentum
