Good to see Shimmin stay on at GD and Guscoth at WD, worked well in the 2nd half of that last quarter
My heart is saying Thunderbirds don’t look like they will be able to put their foot down and win tonight but god I hope I’m wrong
Petty with ANOTHER held ball, not many options for her but she could’ve just thrown it backwards. 6 turnovers for her tonight, and same for Potgieter, but she hasn’t even been on the whole time

Williams on at C and Petty to the bench
I have never seen what everyone else seems to in Petty. Why don’t they develop Nankivell in C?
Guscoth has been outstanding in WD. Has shut down Dunkley who was outstanding in the first half.
Dwan is amazing. Won’t be surprised to see her in the Fiamonds squad.
To be fair Petty was outstanding when in full health for the Thunderbirds but she has struggled this season, nankivell definitely starting to surpass her in the pecking order
Jenner starting with the messy late contacts that are so unnecessary and she is just smirking everytime, just rubs me the wrong way sometimes
Firebirds’ lead is 5 as we go into the power play.
Is Mi Mi injured? She really seems to have dropped back in the pecking order.
Firebirds up by 4 with 3 minutes to go but you feel that it’s too big of a margin for the Thunderbirds to work back with the current momentum
Horjus struggling to find the space for a 2 with the defenders focusing on keeping her further in so Potgieter steps up and takes the 2!
90 seconds left Firebirds up 59-57
60-59 with 50 seconds
Thunderbirds need an immediate turnover with the hope of just causing a draw let alone a win
Firebirds waste the clock and they will win
