Thunderbirds’ slow start will be their regret and unfortunately, with just three matches to go, I can’t see them making the 2020 finals

Kudos to Jenner and Hinchliffe for making the Tbirds work so hard for position in those last few minutes while staying in play, they let a few ones go but were really solid despite how frantic it all became.

Would like to see Thunderbirds retain most of their roster but swap Horjus in for a contract and Gooden out. Would be good to see if Cobden wants to return as she has recently said that is her goal.

PLEASE SSN KEEP THE PLAYER ROSTER AS 12 PLAYERS ON GAME DAY!!! If you’re going to ruin our game with the super shot, the least you can do is keep the 12 person game day roster

Petty has really struggled this year. Williams is still a little way off but has almost over taken Petty. Think Nankivell has over taken Petty, considering her versatility.
The one thing I hate with the two point shot, is that it puts a lot of pressure onto the likes of Horjus that the GS won’t shoot and looks around trying to find the GA.

Yeah I think Nankivell and Williams will be challenging Van de Merwe and Petty for their sports but I keep forgetting petty si co-captain and at her best is a force to be reckoned with so it will be interesting to see how the Thunderbirds roster shapes up next year.

MDD refers to the Firebirds as WE!!! Are you kidding? There was a ridiculous amount of mispronunciations of the players by MDD today.
Also, didn’t realise this was the SUNCOPE league thanks to the male commentator for letting us know.

‘right where WE needed that shut down’…what’s Den Dekker’s current connection with the Firebirds?

Firebirds did an amazing job to convert all their centre passes during the power play when you consider who the T’Birds had in court in defence. Another near miss for SSN with the supershot: Firebirds would have won by 10 in real netball.

Dunkley has stood up so strongly for me. I do also wonder if Mi Mi is injured though as the attack end faded a bit in the second half. Jenner is far too undisciplined to be in the Diamonds 12, she and Hinchliffe gave the T’Birds so many free shots at the end. Hopefully Dean’s shoulder will be ok.

It’ll be very hard for the T’Birds now. I don’t see them winning with big margins against the Giants, Swifts or Fever, so they’ll need to hope for Lightning or Swifts to lose and lose big.

MDD’s connection is that Firebirds are the Thunderbirds’ opposition and as such she is part of that team, how cute

It’s actually hard watching these Adelaide games with commentary. Wish the app had a button to mute commentary but keep background noise!

Michelle den Dekker used to be captain-coach of the Firebirds. But that was a LONG time ago.

Seriously, three of the best players on court were Dwan, Horjus and Nankivell. None of them over 20 years old. It’s becoming a regular thing now.
