Bragg with a very important intercept, the score difference was starting to grow
Doubt Collingwood would want Smith. They have Rav and Braz to come back. They also have Sharni Lambden as a TP and I’d rate her ahead of Smith so long as she can recover from her shoulder surgery. Jovic, Browne, Rav and Brazill will most likely be their midcourt.
As for who Vixens would let go. It’d be Dehaney. Simone sacrificed Mentor back in the day to prioritise Mannix.
Commentators setting Moloney up for MVP already. It should be a defender. NNP are rubbish.
I quite like McDonald. Quite efficient in her movement and feeds the circle well.
For a first year player, Jovic has been a revelation! She would have been expecting to get a few minutes here and there & has become a linch pin in their mid court.

I actually forgot about Rav! Between her and Brazill they’ll be fine for WD cover.
It will be interesting to see who Collingwood go after in terms of shooters. I expect Nelson and one of Sinclair/Allen will be contracted, then maybe they’ll look for a GS/GA swing player? Glasgow, Garbin, Marshall, Dwyer and Stanton come to mind. COVID may affect interstate recruiting next year.
Do Vixens really want 4 circle defenders in a squad of 10? I guess if they’re determined to transition Smith into a WD/C it could be worthwhile.
3/4 time: Vixens 46-39
Nelson 33/33 (100%) 0/1 (0%)
Sinclair 4/4 (100%) 1/2 (50%)Thwaites 10/11 (91%) 2/2 (100%)
Philip 16/19 (84%)Vixens getting the upper hand after the slow start. Now looking in control. Moloney racking up the NNP in Watson’s absence. Probably will be MVP
Philip has had a good game. Much better than her more recent games and she has been the play maker for the Vixens attack.
Vixens signed 4 circle defenders in their 10 this year. Putting Smith in for Dehaney actually balances them court better in my opinion. In saying that they are training Smith as a WD / C.
Elle McDonald has been great. Much stronger than Honey. Can also play all 3 midcourt positions.
Allen on for Nelson for the Power 5. Vixens lead by 9
2.5 minutes to play, Vixens 58-53
Vixens moving so slow deliberately, smart but so frustrating
If Vixens win Moloney will be MVP. Boring and predictable. Their defence kept them in it early whilst Philip opened the attack.
I’d give MVP to Eddy. The unsung hero. Actually all 3 of their defenders have been great.
Full Time: Vixens 61-53
Can’t see Moloney not getting MVP but honestly, I think Mentor was great
19 Turnovers between three players in the Pies:
Bragg – 6
Jovic – 6
Nelson – 7SHould a WD really have that many turnovers?
