Taking Housby off was a mistake, even if Swifts are trying to make sure Garbin can be swapped in during finals seamlessly.
I’d be very disappointed if Haythornthwaite is re-signed over Fraser. I really don’t think she’s made a positive impact since about Round 3.
Horjus has really gotten on top of Craig and as a result Gooden and Potgieter have stepped up.
Swifts lead 29-27 at the timeout
Well, this has come out a bit out of the blue. At one stage Swifts were up 27-19. Now it’s 29-28 thanks to a 9-2 run including a couple of goodens from Gooden.
Aren’t the teams who are finals locked in? Why do the commentators keep saying its do or die for the Swfits today in relation to their finals campaign?
So I’m a bit confused about why Craig came on? As soon as she came on Thunderbirds were able to get it into the circle so much easier?
1/2 time: Swifts 30-28
Potgieter 17/17 (100%)
Gooden 5/7 (71%) 3/6 (50%)Wallace 21/22 (95%) 0/1 (0%)
Housby 8/8 (100%) 0/1 (0%)Well, that quarter was a bit of a turn up. Swifts seemed to have things in control up 27-19, then Tbirds went on a run. Anyone’s game right now.
@Netballcrazy1 I’m currently not listening, so not sure what they’re saying. Thinking maybe they don’t want to give away the result of the earlier game, but that seems a strange way to do it.
Scores level at 33 all
Thunderbirds in the lead for the first time but cause a turnover and back to level scores
36-36.
Just imagine if Giants had won the earlier game (which they were leading for a fair chunk of). This would have been REALLY exciting. It’s still interesting as it is.
Wallace and Housby both look to be injured but Wallace forced to stay on court as Garbin comes in for Housby
Injuries galore for the Swifts. Wallace looking ginger on the knee and suffering from a bit of dizziness, Housby injured AGAIN with a pretty bad ankle roll.
So if Sam is suffering from diziness, why is she on court??????
Gooden a bit of a revelation today, didn’t rate her that much earlier in the season but now I’m thinking will Thunderbirds keep her or Glasgow around
