Ugh, must comment
Horjus: wow, what a little star! Those super shots without hesitation and under a lot of pressure. She needs to have a whisper in ATN’s ear about shots under pressure. Surprised Horjus didn’t get MVP although Chelsea was great.
ATN: sad to see the hesitation of old. I hope someone is working with her and that her mentor that helped her out of this last time is contactable, if not in their hub… Fever’s game was unfortunately lost on percentage and they must work on this…
Super shots: what a blow they lost to super shot strategy. Terrible news for the game. It didn’t even feel in general play that Thunderbirds were close… doesn’t feel like a great win to me… Fever also need to work on this and what they are going to do in finals about teams willing to super shot them out of the game…
Bruce: how sublime is she currently? Those rebounds were next to impossible and were real game-changers. What a star!
Stats aren’t everything. But they’re normally a pretty good guide to which team is playing the best. In this game, Fever’s total NNP was 443 and Tbirds 303.
It was also the feel of it. It actually didn’t feel like Tbirds could win based on performance. And that only changed with the super shot…
We seriously need Thunderbirds to change their decision. Could use a miracle right about now…
You’re right. It doesn’t make sense for any reason at all. She’s their best link, she doesn’t want to go. Doesn’t she also work with Obst at an international level?
Interesting game.
Did anyone notice how despondent the T’Birds were in the huddles when management/coaches were around? They must be completely baffled by the decision to drop Chelsea. They need her. Also wow I watched the game and I didn’t realise how bad ATN’s shooting stats were, Guscoth really got under her skin.
Considering Obst works with Pitman internationally, I am curious to know if it was her decision to drop her. I don’t really understand the dynamics of creating rosters and who has the biggest say so I am quite curious to see who made this decision and why
ATN’s shooting statistics are never good. Commentators have stopped talking about it but her season average is 54% and she’s shot a lot of sub-50% games. I don’t know why they haven’t tried her and Cosh the other way around.
Does that season average count supershot attempts? I think her normal time average might be higher
Get yourself a squad that looks at you the way @ShadineVDM @GeorgieHorjus and Lenize look at @ChelseaPitman 🤗 (📸me) pic.twitter.com/DQ3UX1u2MH

2/5 . 2/4 . 0/1
1/5 . 1/3 . 0/2

10/14 . 7/10 . 3/4
7/13 . 6/8 . 1/5

4/11 . 3/8 . 1/3Total
78/143 (54.5%)Regular goals
54/88 (61.4%)Super shots
24/53 (45.3%)So, 61.4% still isn’t going to cut it. She seemed to start the season so well, but she’s gradually gone back to her old ways.
