Fever 20 swifts 18, pretty good contest so far, Lewis has been good for Fever I also feel like Anstiss has given the defenders good cover around circle edge. I want ATN to play well but hopefully she xan save that for when she isnt playing the swifts

Exciting first Q. Fever leads 20-18. The super shot seems made for ATN. It’s rejuvenated her game. She’s made 7/7 from 2 point range so far this year.

Fever looks so good when ATN is on song

Great for young QLDer Condren to be in the Fever team today but I would have thought Fever would have brought over more players.

WD is a problem for Swifts. I suspect Hadley will end up playing quite a But there. Klau is not having as much impact as last year but I suspect part of that is not having as much cover ahead of her. When Turner returns that will help. Not sure if Swifts plan on playing Moore at WD when Turner returns but if so not sure she will be quick enough against the speedy WAs hence why I think Hadley will be used there a lot.

Great to see ATN playing with such confidence. At her best she was one of Australia’s best young GAs so it’s lovely to see her building back to that. Has always had lovely court craft.

                    1/2 time: Fever up 41-33

                    Fever 37/41 (4/6)
                    Swifts 27/37 (6/11)

                    Super shots
                    Housby 4/6
                    Teague-Neeld 3/5

Fever going great so far. Can Swifts claw their way back. Will they need the super shot to do it?

Agree with all of the above Tully, Swifts are also missing Turner in attack I feel and even Eddy/Rore in that WD position. I’m hoping we can convince Parmenter to step across next year since the Giants have pinched a lot of our up and comers. 😉

All the Swifts midcourters have been so subpar in defence and attack. Housby having a great game but has no support. I don’t like Hadley at WD, Craig was doing fine. The Swifts have just been wasting the opportunities they do get.

Wish I could have heard Akle’s half time
Speech. It certainly worked. Garb in has made a Huge difference to the attack whilst Klau and Moore are working better this way around.

The Swifts absolutely flying, I wonder what Akle said to them at half time.

Garbin has improved so much since she started at the Swifts. If she keeps playing like this she should be starting.

Swifts are dominating this 3rd Q, thanks to the introduction of Sophie Garbin. 47-47

Garbin is playing with fantastic impact and as a result the attack is falling into place, Fever attack are starved of opportunities but it still feels like they’re playing well enough to get back into it, fingers crossed the Swifts ice them in the fourth.

                                  3/4 time: Swifts 60-52

                                  What a turnaround. A 27-11 3rd Q.

Sophie Garbin dominated that Q at GS like you would rarely see… 21/23, 2 assists and 3 strong rebounds. IN ONE QUARTER!
