3/4 time: Swifts 60-52
What a turnaround. A 27-11 3rd Q.
Sophie Garbin dominated that Q at GS like you would rarely see… 21/23, 2 assists and 3 strong rebounds. IN ONE QUARTER!Ian HarkinModeratorAugust 9, 2020 at 5:08 pmPost count: 18792
I’d say that’s the most exciting quarter I’ve seen from a GS since Bailey Mes put on a show for Mystics against Thunderbirds about 5 years ago.JbssParticipantAugust 9, 2020 at 5:13 pmPost count: 231
If fever win as a result of the power five I’ll be even less impressed about it than I already amTullyParticipantAugust 9, 2020 at 5:14 pmPost count: 1428
Francis flattening the Swifts midcourt is getting boring. It’s repetitive.
Garbin completely changed the game for Swifts.TullyParticipantAugust 9, 2020 at 5:21 pmPost count: 1428
So the Swifts missed shots at the end actually helped them win by winding down the clock.JbssParticipantAugust 9, 2020 at 5:23 pmPost count: 231
All kinds of madness in the last five, which is why I hate it. On the one hand kudos to Fowler for shooting those goals but Fever didnt really earn the comeback and if it was the other way around Id say the same. The rule basically gives teams two TOs for the price of one.Ian HarkinModeratorAugust 9, 2020 at 5:23 pmPost count: 18792
Swifts just take it 73-72 after Fever nearly stole it with super shots from Jhaniele Fowler! Swifts seemed to lose their nerve towards the end and go away from what they’d been doing so well. They tried to play it around. It nearly brought them undone.al_exParticipantAugust 9, 2020 at 5:23 pmPost count: 1114
What an insane finish. Swifts midcourt got so tight, but probably the best advertisement for the super shoot we’ve seen yet.
The vertical jump and strength in the air from Garbin is insane. Best performance from a shorter holding shooter since Kumwenda came on the scene. Completely changed the game and should start against the Thunderbirds.mcleodParticipantAugust 9, 2020 at 5:24 pmPost count: 1594
145 points in 60 minutes, hmmmmIan HarkinModeratorAugust 9, 2020 at 5:32 pmPost count: 18792
It is nice that some people are just finding out that Fowler can shoot from distance. Anybody who’s watched her play for Jamaica in Fast5 already knows this! She’s a gun.JbssParticipantAugust 9, 2020 at 5:33 pmPost count: 231
Can’t believe how dead this thread is relative to the excitement this game had, that said it wasnt on tv and was the last game so that might have had something to do with it. I definitely felt it was the best game of the round though.Ian HarkinModeratorAugust 9, 2020 at 5:33 pmPost count: 18792
“145 points in 60 minutes, hmmmm”
We have seen similar in NZ with no super shot in sight!Andrew KennedyParticipantAugust 9, 2020 at 5:34 pmPost count: 152
Who was MVP? I’d give it to Fowler personally. I know Garbin made a big difference but Fowler was dominant all match.Ian HarkinModeratorAugust 9, 2020 at 5:40 pmPost count: 18792
Swifts 73-Fever 72

Great game. Interesting… 65 successful shots a piece.
