WED AUG 12 – SWIFTS v THUNDERBIRDS (Sunshine Coast)
5pm AEST (4:30pm SA, 3pm WA, 7pm NZ, 8am UK)
Live scoring https://mc.championdata.com/super_netball/index.html
Sasha Glasgow and Layla Guscoth are back for this game.
And Hodges out, unfortunately. I really think they should keep Hodges over Gooden but I guess ones contracted and the other is a TP
Yeah, its a shame. We know Hodges can hold her own on court, just look at her 2018 performances, or her 2019 season with the Stars (being a big part of why they played finals).
Shame we didn’t get to see more of Hodges – hopefully the squad will rotate throughout the rest of the season and we can see her play.
Thought it bizarre when Gooden received a contract ahead of Hodges originally.
They clearly don’t seem to have much of an opinion of Hodges which is why she went to NZ. And then they obviously didn’t watch much of her play over there because she went well.
1⃣0⃣0⃣! Paige Hadley is set to play her 100th national league match tonight against the Thunderbirds. 🙌

GK SterlingWallace had a horror game against Sterling last year when the Swifts drew with the T’Birds, really surprised not to see Garbin and Proud.
Good starting line up for the Thunderbirds, not much change but good that Horjus is starting although she will have quite a battle against Klau and Moore.
Looks like Petty is still ill as wellOn the Swifts side of things I wonder what the strategy in not starting Proud, maybe resting her? I also think Sterling will get on top of Wallace and Akle might bring Garbin on
Not watching but Thunderbirds down 7-3 five minutes in, three GPT from horjus, Potgieter, Nankivell
Potgieter and Nankivell proving to be costly in terms of turnovers. Horjus is off and Glasgow on.
Guscoth on at WD for the last minute of the quarter- This reply was modified 2 years, 9 months ago by Netballcrazy1.
1/4 time: Swifts 18-10
Wallace 7/7 (100%) 0/0 (0%)
Housby 9/10 (90%) 1/2 (50%)Potgieter 7/7 (100%) 0/0 (0%)
Horjus 1/2 (50%) 1/2 (50%)
Glasgow 0/0 (0%) 1/2 (50%)Swifts in control. The connections are working so much better than Tbirds. Sterling and Shimmin working overtime
I think Thunderbirds need Petty at C, unfortunate that she’s sick. And then Guscoth and Glasgow are obviously both just back so those connections will be shaky, not great.
They’re just way too costly in turnovers, they have 10 to Swifts’ 5 -
