            8-2 and Lightning unsurprisingly calls a timeout. Vixens are all over them and their attack just isn’t working at all.

              Great start by Vixens. Both teams’ defences are on top. Laura Langman got called for a held ball, which doesn’t happen very often. Could have a been a few more held balls called for both teams.

                Lightning have taken McCaulliffe off for Russell. Surprising as Watson has had a terrible start with 3 or 4 very poor feeds.

                Eddy and Weston have started well with strong hands over pressure.

                Moloney and Langman having a good battle.

                    Wood back on at GS. Mannix is a reasonably mobile GK but will be interesting to see what happens and if Vixens mix things up with Eddy or Weston to GK. With Loenen at GA Weston and Mannix would just do a positional switch.

                        Vixens with the lead and they’ve looked far the more assured team. Lots of problems with the Lightning attack. Proscovia and Wood both struggling.

                          Vixens are totally dominant at the moment and Lightning are having a real off day. Once again an 8-2 start to the 2nd Q just like the 1st. Vixens 24-13

                            Proscovia has been very shaky this year. Wood has also been inconsistent but I think she may be affected by injury.

                            Australia really has GA trouble right now. Crazy to think that in 2015/2016 there was Medhurst, Pettitt, Bell, Philip, Tippett AND Wood all playing strongly. Now it’s hard to find a starting GA.

                              Gaudion said 32% of Vixens goals had been from Supershot and 18% of Lightnings. Is that true? Wish the stats sheet gave Supershots….13/17 Thwaites – so does that mean she got 11/16 shots as 1 pointers and 1 from 1 as 2 pointers?

                                Liz Watson – 5 GPTs so far. Her burrowing is really ugly to watch. She’s so much better than that.

                                  As good as Vixens have been, Lightning has been incredibly poor. They’re having a shocker. Nothing is working for them, especially in attack
