Im really hoping that Thunderbirds can make it a single digit difference at the end of the game. I have little hope they can win it, just purely because Vixens are in sublime form, but if it’s reasonably close, I’ll take it as a win for Tbirds.

Totally agree, I would take a single digits loss as a win for the Thunderbirds. I just really hope they are in form and start strong.

Good thing Guscoth and Glasgow are back. Any news about Shimmin?

Interesting that they start Nankivell today, was really hoping to see Petty start given I think shes back to full health. Also would have loved to see Shimmin start, she was extrodinary last week and shouldn’t start off just because Guscoth is back. Also interesting to see Horjus start again, hopefully she will be able to adjust quicker today

Horjus not confident to shoot, and throws a bit of a forced pass causing a turnover but the defence end manage to get it back

I think Horjus has caused three turnovers in less than five minutes, she is a great talent but it’s not easy to play like a seasoned GA against a Weston and Mannix circle. I think they need Glasgow’s height but who knows, if Potgieter can take the shots, Horjus’ speed could be good for playmaking today.

Scrappy start. Vixens up 6-4 after 7.

Thunderbirds with a chance to get ahead after an important intercept but Horjus misses. She’s 1/4 for shots, and Thunderbirds really need to take some long-range shots instead of trying to force it to Potgieter, which the Vixens defenders are picking up on.

Still lots of mistakes. 2 mins left and Vixens up 10-9. Horjus unfortunately inaccurate so far.

                              1/4 Time: Vixens 11-10

                                1/4 time: Vixens 11-10

                                Kumwenda 8/9 (89%)
                                Thwaites 2/3 (67%)

                                Potgieter 9/9 (100%)
                                Horjus 1/3 (33%) 0/1 (0%)

In my opinion Tbirds have actually been the better side so far and could be leading. Horjus just a bit too willing to shoot instead of looking for the reliable Potgieter

Petty on at C and Glasgow at GA.
