TUE AUG 18 – FIREBIRDS v SWIFTS (Brisbane)
7:30pm AEST (7pm SA, 5:30pm WA, 9:30pm NZ, 10:30am UK)
Live scoring https://mc.championdata.com/super_netball/index.html
Sam Wallace plays her 50th @SuperNetball game tonight and yet the @NSWSwifts / @Netballtrinbago star almost didn't return to Australia this year 📝😢
Here she speaks about the pain of her father's death and why she decided to come back for #SSN2020: https://t.co/Dzq8wAGtDm

Looks like no Maddy Turner again from the round 5 team list
hoping it’s just load management!
Interesting Turner is out again
I thought they were better with Moore on last week. Turner didn’t look 100% and struggled a bit so good to see her rested againYeah Turner was really off the pace. I think she needs to work on her WD game as well.
I think Akle needs to try and run a line this game. I’d try Wallace/Housby/Haythornthwaite/Hadley/Craig/Moore/Klau for a half. Hadley has historically matched up really well on Simpson so I wouldn’t mind her playing WA with Proud back in C for a bit. Hopefully Wallace can deal with the emotions of tonight’s game and really shoot the lights out!
Aiken really can’t afford to miss from right under the post today but she already is and looks hesitant
Yep I think Swifts should try Proud at C and Hadley at WA, Simpson is cutting off her drives and blocking her well. Wallace’s shooting is also off, might see Garbin come on.
Oops, forgot to post starting lineups…

GK KlauThere’s that awful rule again!!! Tippah Dwan puts up a super shot attempt before time is up. And it’s a beautiful shot. But it doesn’t count because it went through after time is up. That’s just dumb
Yes, I much rather the rule to be that if it leaves the shooter’s hands before time is up then it should count
garbin NEEDS to come on. I understand Akle wants to show faith in Wallace but she is hesitant and has missed at least 4 from right under.
Housby shoots misses, gets another go from a contact call, shoots misses, gets another go from an obstruction call, shoots and misses.1/4 time: 16-16
Aiken 9/11 (82%)
Dwan 3/4 (75%) 2/2 (100%)Wallace 10/15 (67%)
Housby 2/2 (100%) 2/2 (100%)Great game so far. Can’t get more even.
Timeout called by Firebirds as Swifts just start to gain some sort of ascendancy, up by 4.
Suddenly this is looking like 2019 all over again for these two teams. Firebirds making WAY too many errors and Swifts taking control. Swifts 26-19
Proud off, Haythornwhaite on at WA
