I do think as part of the end of the game washup and stats it would be helpful to see who has been cautioned etc throughout the game as I so think we miss a lot of it. Especially after a goal is scored and we are already seeing the next centre pass, sometimes in the background you can hear a player being warned and have no idea what for.
Considering it happened in the VNSL this year and has happened recently at the Quad series with Karin Burger, I was aware of the rule and the protocol, but got confused as to the reaction of the players and the commentators. Jo Harten would also be well aware of the disciplinary steps considering she was the one being obstructed when Burger got sent off! Does seem like the Giants tried their luck a little…
Just shows you how easy it is to get caught up in the moment rather than deal with the situation calmly which is where I think Giants lost the match. Whether the challenge was dangerous or not, Tilly should have been brought on in GD.
