Austin is playing so well for Giants and Thwaites for Vixens. Both have been switched over and not skipped a beat. I think the Giants defenders are struggling with the way Thwaites and Kumwenda play together in the circle, its very non-traditional.

        3/4 time: Vixens 50-48

        Kumwenda 12/13 (92%) 3/3 (100%)
        Thwaites 20/20 (100%) 1/4 (25%)

        Austin 16/16 (100%) 8/8 (100%)’
        Harten 12/14 (86%) 2/4 (50%)

Vixens much improved. Great last Q in prospect and the way these teams are going, it could come down to the super shots.

Well, Vixens have dominated the start of this last Q and now have a 6 goal lead. Going to be hard for Giants to peg that back and give themselves a chance going into the last 5 minutes.

Harten has been a bit off, I’m surprised they haven’t brought Bassett on at GS. I wonder if there’s something bigger going on. The Giants defenders really need to stay in play and build pressure.

I much prefer Mannix/Eddy/Weston in these positions than the other way around. Weston’s arms are so much more effective in WD.

Vixens up by 3 with 4 minutes left. Here we go.

All of a sudden, when the Giants REALLY need a super shot, they can’t get one. That’s pressure.

Well done Vixens on winning ugly.
MVP should be Eddy or Thwaites. Watson and Weston (at WD) were also strong.
Austin and Price were great for Giants.

Good tough win for Vixens. They were really challenged today and I think Giants showed that they’re much better than their lowly position on the ladder suggests.

How predictable Moloney gets MVP. Price won that battle. Yes Gaudion Moloney does t make mistakes but she doesn’t create and go for it in attack. That all falls on Watson and Thwaites and Philip.

                      Thwaites deserves that MVP.

Thwaites was definitely the lynchpin in attack. Her versatility is exceptional, I don’t think it really matters where she plays but she needs to be on the court for the Vixens. The Giants had absolutely no answers.

MVP voters seem to love Kate Moloney this year.

Giants have played CBass for 60min just once, they won that game.
Every other game CBass has spent some or all of the game on the bench. Giants haven’t won any of those games.

I’m not sure how comparable Fever are with Lightning and Vixens.

I wonder what would have happened if Bassett was on the court.
