Lightning just slowly but surely gained the upper hand in that Q and led by 5 before Wallace sank a super shot with time almost up.

I wonder if they should give Proud a run at WD, I think her defensive instincts are a little sharper than Hadley’s. The level here is very high though, the Swifts aren’t really doing much wrong. The lightning are just so difficult to stop when both Scherian and Wood are firing.

Swifts are making a run at Lightning here. After the score got out to 36-31 against them, Swifts have scored 7 of the last 8 goals to lead 38-37.

Timeout for Lightning. Swifts up by 3. They just seem to be traveling better right now. And Maddy Proud is back, baby! She’s had a bit of a slow comeback from injury, but she’s right on song tonight up against Langman.

Wood sinks a 2 pointer. Why didn’t they try it earlier in the power play? Anyway, Swifts have a well deserved win!

Very happy with the Swifts(I’ve only been able to watch from half time onwards) felt there were a few moments where they couldve let the lightning in but the experience from grinding out wins is now paying off. Proud is slowly but surely getting back to her previous form and confidence. The feeding to Wallace was so much better
