Jenner and Hinchliffe already all over Potgieter and Horjus. Firebirds go 3-0

Horjus will have to take a large load on today in the shooting circle, she’s already taken 2 mid-range shots so it’s looking good.

Great defensive pressure in the Firebirds defence and their attack end is very cohesive. Potgieter really struggling with Hinchliffe’s arms over the ball and keeping her away from under the post shots

I would be bringing Glasgow in at GS
                Edit: Glasgow on

This has been a red hot start from the Firebirds. Tippah Dwan is a fair dinkum star. And just think, if not for Gretel’s pregnancy, she may not be getting much if any game time!

Agree, I would be surprised not to see her as part of the Diamonds squad or development team.
On another note, Aiken having a cracker of a season and Sterling struggling against her good shooting and movement, she needs to go our hunting

According to the commentators, Obst sent her players out of the building. They’re not sure if it was a roasting or a way of getting them to reset.

Sterling needs to go hunting or start in front otherwise Obst should bring Shimmin on at GK

                          1/4 time: Firebirds 20-12

                          Aiken 14/14 (100%)
                          Dwan 4/5 (80%) 1/1 (100%)

                          Glasgow 2/2 (100%)
                          Horjus 3/3 (100%) 1/2 (50%)

Dominant first Q from Firebirds. Turnovers are so often their enemy. So far, they’ve committed just 2. They haven’t given Tbirds a sniff. Will it continue?

Cassidys accidental shot scares me bc there’s probably a lot of channel 9 board members whose brains are ticking over about which rule change can happen next year

I seriously hope not! That is not netball, then we are morphing into basketball.

Sterling causes a turnover but Thunderbirds just cannot transition out of defence and they lose it

The difference is now 10 goals
