Thunderbirds try to get positioned in the two-point zone three times for the one-shot and end up losing the ball

The Firebirds are so confident, as a Swiftie im very worried about next time we play them. Hinchliffe and Jenner are really coming into their own too

          1/2 time: Firebirds 34-25

          Aiken 26/27 (96%)
          Dwan 6/7 (86%) 1/1 (100%)

          Glasgow 5/7 (71%) 0/1 (0%)
          Horjus 9/10 (90%) 3/5 (60%)

Firebirds won that Q by 1 as it developed into a goal for goal battle. Firebirds have been strong across the board while a few Tbirds have gone missing.

The problem for Tbirds is that despite having three strong shooting combos the game plan is really obvious. When its Glasgow and Horjus despite being capable of shooting two points Glasgow has to be on rebounds hence her hesitation on the long shots. When Potgeiter comes on the defence know she’ll only shoot short and that her shot has to go up in the first couple seconds if receiving the ball. When Horjus receives the ball in the two its blatantly obvious she’ll be the shooter and her partner will be the rebounder

Yeah I agree Jbss, it is very obvious and it is something they will need to address next year because you can’t necessarily fix many of those things.

I think this is probably a time where Hodges would be useful, can shoot and move and is also a little taller

Jenner on fire, she is turning over every ball in the Thunderbirds shooting end this quarter.
Guscoth is stepping up for the Thunderbirds, again I think we need Shimmin on at GK to change it up

Good start to the 3rd Q from Tbirds. Suddenly there’s far more pressure on Firebirds when they have the ball. Firebirds 36-29

Glasgow and Horjus chip away at the scoreline and the difference is back to 2. Everyone stepping up the intensity for the Thunderbirds

Stupid Channel 9 left the camera on iken for 10 seconds after a goal and then a turnover occurs in the Thunderbirds circle and we miss it.

Jenner is getting a bit messy with the contacts

                            3/4 time: Firebirds 46-42

                            Aiken 34/37 (92%)
                            Dwan 8/9 (89%) 2/3 (67%)

                            Glasgow 14/17 (82%) 0/1 (0%)
                            Horjus 15/16 (94%) 4/7 (57%)

Dwan with a crucial super shot penalty when time was up in the 3rd Q but Tbirds are looking the better side at the moment. Firebirds will need to lift

It seems to me that Jennerand Hinchliffe do a lot of arm/hand waving in shooters’ faces when they are shooting, but it never gets pulled up. Where I play, it is penalised as intimidation.

The Firebirds have slowed to a walk. This has Thunderbirds win written all over it.

Yes agree, Hinchliffe and Jenner have to be careful with those arms, I too was thinking about how they haven;t been called for intimidation in some instances
