Brandley starting at WD. Giants obviously worried about Watson. Watson outplayed Parmenter both game last years and for probably 50-55 minutes In the last game. But will Brandley have the pace and fitness to go with Watson? Wonder if they would consider moving Price back to WD?

I think it’s smart to let Parmenter watch for a while. Let her loose at half time. Wouldn’t mind seeing JLP in WD, she’s probably the only WD in the competition as strong as Watson aside from Simpson.

Good to see Vixens start Kumwenda, she’s starting to build and her athleticism and movement matches up well on Poolman. Hopefully Thwaites still has a lot left in the tank.

No surprise that Giants have called a timeout here. Vixens up 8-3. Giants having all sorts of trouble with Vixens all court defence.

Vixens now out 12-4. Five turnovers from the Giants while only one from the Vixens

The Super Shot is absolute rubbish. I hate it.

Same as last time they played the super shot keeps Giants in it.

And the dreaded 2 point shot, keeps the Giants from being down by 8, which is what they should be down by.

Would like to see a Moloney – Watson – Honey midcourt.

Hay is having a great game for Giants. Would leave Weston in GD where she is playing very well.

                          1/4 time: Vixens 19-15

                          Harten 3/4 (75%) 3/3 (100%)
                          Austin 4/4 (100%) 1/2 (50%)

                          Kumwenda 13/14 (93%) 0/1 (0%)
                          Thwaites 6/6 (100%)

Raining super shots for Giants again, and it helped them catch up, after being down by as much as 8. Vixens looking very strong.

Great block by Weston on Austin and gets the throw in which Vixens waste.

Philip on for Thwaites. I thought Thwaites was having a brilliant game. Hopefully the change is just to rest Thwaites.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Dehaney on come on. Mannix is being beaten. Changing WD might help but they seem unlikely to do that (as I say that Eddy contents and gets Vixens a throw in).

Philip’s passing game is consistently poor game after game. Both pass execution and choice.

Price is in outstanding form. I also feel she is cleaner this year.

Weston has built across the season so well so far.

Another poor pass by choice and execution by Philip. Never any power on her shoulder pass.

Super shot has Giants back again. Mannix needs to change her defence as Harten has no issues both on the shot and getting the ball in that area.
