No comment on LA’s outfit :-\
Quarter 1
Eng 18 SA 15Steady start by both teams. A few held balls by SA and sloppy passes by Eng.
1st quarter 15-18 Eng.
England attack is slick. SA are hanging in there. England just look too sharp for them to win.
Snappy interception by the “very, very dirty” Jade Clarke. Roses take it through to goal
25-16 Eng1/4 time: Eng 18 v SA 15
Quarter 2
Eng 36 SA 29
Both coaches seemed to be looking to the future and starting 7’s included the younger/newer squad members. Eng played well for their lead.
1/2 time: Eng 36 v SA 29
England looking very sharp and in control, especially in attack. Lots of positives in this performance so far. South Africa not completely out of it, but it will take a big effort from here.
SA slow out of the blocks again ?? but I do expect them to pick up.
Great analysis by Greenway at halftime about Eng defensive faults. She then turns to LA and asks how she would solve it, sneaky
Eng 45-44 with 4 mins left 3rd Q!
3/4 time: Eng 49 v SA 48
Well, I said it would take a big effort, and that’s what SA has produced. A great quarter from them and now it’s all to play for in the final quarter. Good game.
Scores level 1/2 way through the last Q!
Proteas take the lead!
Now the Roses back in front. Anyone’s game this.
