Full time: Eng 65 v SA 63
Great game! After England dominated the first half, SA came back, then it turned into a goal for goal game. Either team could have won, it was just a matter of who got the vital possession gain at the right time. And it was Stacey Francis.
Yes Stacey Francis got the vital interception but there were some interesting calls from Jono, especially toward the end of the 3rd quarter
Lots of positives for England from this tournament… Fisher and especially Cardwell in the shooting circle. Young Carter is clearly a player of the future. And Francis had a good tournament at the back. They were missing some very big names and were still very competitive.
For South Africa, it’s hard to know. Unlike Eng they were basically at full strength, but fell short. The problem is still in the circle. Rademan shows promise if they can just give her a good run at GA. Potgieter today was like a totally different player to yesterday against NZ.
Brilliant match! @EnglandNetball hanging on in the end with a timely match winning intercept from @StcyJyneFrancis and @ECardwell11 true to form, sinking shots with her eyes closed! Gutsy win! The line up that finished for SA was their best for the series! @SkyNetball #NationsCup

WA Crampyon
C Saunders
WD Burger
GD Karaka
GK WatsonGS Fowler
GA Beckford
WA Williams
C Dixon
WD Hemmings
GD Sterling
GK DehaneyIf I’m honest, I don’t actually think this will be close. I think NZ will win comfortably, but I’m hoping Jamaica gets stuck in and proves me wrong!
Interesting that the Jamaicans don’t put their arms around each other when the anthems are sung.
Sunshine girls very composed on court. A little fazed by the NZ zone but they work it out. NZ playing a fast and steady game no surprise that they are 1 goal ahead at the first break
1/4 time: NZ 16 v Jam 15
Good game. After 5 mins, it was NZ 7-1 & it wasn’t looking too good but Jamaica fought back. I’m closely watching the penalty count because when these teams met, the Jamaicans were hammered. And it’s currently 26-4 against them!
WOW what a match we have. It may all come down to fitness.
Scores level at the big break1/2 time: 30 all
Well, this has developed into a real struggle. Can’t tell who’s going to win from here, but Jamaica are surprising me (and probably many others).
Wilson 20/21 (95%)
Ekenasio 10/13 (77%)Fowler 26/27 (96%)
Beckford 4/5 (80%)Penalty count at 1/2 time is 41-24 against Jamaica. In that 2nd Q, it was 20-15 against NZ. Let’s see if we revert to the lopsided count against Jamaica that we had in the first Q.
