Well, not the start England will have wanted but there's always positives & they go again Wednesday. The World Champions, meanwhile, were classy & deserved their win.

Finally caught up with both the games now. I really enjoyed the commentary, especially from LA and Greenway, both extremely insightful!
Was really impressed with Jamaica, I reckon they are going to go on to win this series! They played with a lot of structure, which is so unusual for them, and it work great! The Dehaney/Sterling combo worked great, and although I would’ve thought you would start the combo with Sterling in GK and Dehaney in GD, I think Sterling did great in GD! Would like to see Ward get some more game time as she is a really great player! I think South Africa played well as well, although I think the substitutions from the coach weren’t great. Although the tall-timbers combo didn’t work the greatest, it definitely has potential, especially against NZ and England where the defence is much shorter, so I hope Dorette doesn’t give up on it. Was a bit disappointed not to see Chawane get on court, she is such a power house, I think she could’ve shaken things up a bit! Dixon well deserving of the MVP, impressive play both offensively and defensively! The NZ/England game played out how I thought it might’ve, with NZ coming away with a significant win. I really struggle to see why Thirlby keeps Francis on for the whole game. She isn’t really producing that many turnovers, I would much rather see a Shimmin/Williams combo, at least just to see how they would do. Corbin had a bad game, and it was the right move to take her off, I perhaps would’ve done it sooner though. Carter was exciting in her small run out on court, definitely had an impact, and looks like one for the future. NZ played great, and were almost seamless with the changes. I really enjoyed the Wilson/Mes combo, and I’m glad to see them both play good games, as they have struggled at international level in the past. Such a shame about MSB, she was in some really really great form, and this would’ve been a great opportunity for her to cement her place in the Ferns. Waston and Karaka played well, but I’ve seen them play better, I suspect they struggle defensively against Jamaica.
Poi was great, Souness was meh, Shannon was solid, as was Crampton.
I’m hoping for a SA v Jamaica final, but my head says it will be NZ v Jamaica. It just depends on which SA team turns up for the next two games, and I’m hopeful!Jamaica played well. Was initially doubtful about them but now I reckon they can win the whole series if they perform consistently that is. Ferns played well against an inexperienced England. I agree Corbin should have come off earlier and I thought Williams should have started. Fisher came on well. Can’t wait for NZ v Jam.
Don’t know why Ian
Noels played all shooters

Yeah, not sure. It didn’t seem to be really serious, but we’ve thought that before with injuries and they’ve turned out to be bad.
📋 @JessThirlby conceded a few too many errors proved to be costly for @EnglandNetball.
