Still a bonus point for 5 goal difference? I’ll take it.

Steel v Tactix
1/4 time: 11-11
Fisher 9/11 (82%)
Metuarau 2/4 (50%)Bird 8/9 (89%)
Prosser 3/3 (100%)Hectic opening Q. Steel certainly not overawed, got out to a good start. It’s been a bit scrappy. 15 turnovers in all. Fisher has started well in her first game for Steel.
1/2 time: Steel 25-19
Fisher 21/23 (91%)
Metuarau 4/7 (57%)Bird 10/12 (83%)
Prosser 5/5 (100%)
Glen 4/4 (100%)Steel on top. Everything working smoothly for them in that Q while Tactix were a mess. 16 turnovers in a half against them. Fisher going great guns
Tactix not very good today. Attack end a shambles.
have to admit i was expecting a closer game
3/4 time: Steel 38-30
Fisher 34/36 (94%)
Metuarau 4/8 (50%)Bird 18/23 (78%)
Glen 7/11 (64%)
Prosser 5/5 (100%)Unless an incredible change comes over the game, looks like the first upset of the season coming up. Steel looks in total control.
Metuaraus missed so many shots from under the post

Penalties: Tactix 49-40
Turnovers: Tactix 28-20POTM: Shannon Saunders
Not sure what I’ve just seen but it’s nothing like what I was expecting to see. Steel were just outstanding. Fisher, Metuarau, Saunders, Fifita…
This game has really brought the competition to life. Steel were rank outsiders of the 6 teams and they played like champions!
WOW both of last years finalists beaten in Round 1.
Pulse were able to fight back but I didn’t see that from the Tactix.
Roll on Monday and the battle for the tall shooters
@ Jinxibo The cheese roll is legendary down these ways….
Awesome win by the Steel, very happy with the way they played tonight!
Thought the Pulse could have won their game if they had reduced the errors and once the attack end gets sorted they should be good to go again.
Looking forward to tomorrows game.
?????? @GeorginaFisher4 just shot
46/49 on her debut in @ANZPremiership against Silver Ferns defenders Watson and Burger. She looked super fit, was so strong on the takes and her timing and variety was spot on. She also had very cool hair! Congrats ??— Tamsin Greenway (@tamsingreenway) April 18, 2021
Interesting to see that Monica Falkner didn’t start.
Great win by the Steel, was not expecting that score line
