      Full time: Pulse 55-51

      Dunn 41/44 (93%)
      Amaru-Tibble 14/17 (82%)

      Bassett 31/36 (86%)
      Williams 20/23 (87%)

Magic won two quarters and drew another, but that second quarter was a real killer for them!

Steel attacking end is benefitting from some umpire non-calls (attacking contacts and held balls). That said, they’re definitely the hungrier looking side.

Mystics GA and WA are doing my head in – need to be playing a lot shorter and sharper with some drive. They’re both far too floaty and drifting away from the ball for my liking. Bring on Vui!

An impressive start from Steel, taking the first Q 18-15, and now up 20-15 early in the second.

All those calling for Toeava to be in the Ferns, just need to watch this game, she is terrible

Agreed, she is definitely not Ferns material. Steel WD Renee is doing a great job of shutting her down and cutting off that supply to Nweke.

Mystics have come back to level at 31-31 early in the 3rd Q! Grace Nweke with 26 goals already.

Building up to a great finish here with Steel leading 50-48 early in the last Q!

Well done Steel. Toeava helped them big time. Mystics have 1 game plan, lob, lob, lob lob.
And then it’s oh dear that didn’t work, oh well keep lobbing, lob.

Steel had both flair and control on attack. Short and sharp! Some ripper plays in that game! Just beautiful to watch.

Mystics right in there, just those 1% plays that let them down.

The table is absolutely intriguing! Massive pressure on Tactix and Stars tomorrow night!

MVP is Renee Savai’inaea for shutting down Toeava like pretty much nobody has been able to do before.

Would love to see Vui rewarded with a starting GA bib. She’s been playing consistently and hasn’t been causing the turnovers like Mes. Although, I feel like Mes may have been able to provide a bit of a steady hand in the WA bib today with Toeava not having her best day.

Interesting day of watching today! Really wanted to see the Magic take home a win

HBHP normally I’d agree re Vuli, but didn’t she put just 6 goals up? Same with Bailey at WA, won’t happen thou. For the same reasons we saw the outcome of last night’s game. Peta/Bailey’s game plan has been changed so much. Bailey’s the mid court feeder as well as Peta and both go to Grace, end of. Ridiculous putting it all on Grace.

minkie, it won’t happen but I’d love to see a Tui, Vui, Mes, or Tui, Mes, Vui lineup. Bailey has so much to offer the younger girls in playing a more holding/moving circle (as in can do a bit’ve both as opposed to just standing and holding – think Grace is improving each game still but they need to work on other options too)

would be an interesting Magic shooting circle if they recruited Mes/Tui to play alongside Khiarna Williams next year
