Mather should be on. Her best two games of the season so far were both against the Steel. Greer Sinclair doesn’t do anything wrong but I have no idea why they persist with her over Mather.
I don’t watch many NZ games due to timing of the games but have watched all three this weekend. Yesterday’s were amazing – the NZ style of old.
Wilson is a thug and a drama queen. What is keeping Stars in it is Selby-Ricket doesn’t run or defend the shot. Harrison is an amazing athlete – never gives up. Like the Steel GK also.
Both teams only have one lead to the ball and the commentators talk about the intensity – wtf
And the umpiring is so inconsistent, no wonder players are asking questions of them.
Can’t watch any more so will look here later for the score.
Clearly Magic haven’t played well all season, as the Magic of yesterday would have thrashed both teams tonight.- This reply was modified 2 years, 9 months ago by all-rounder.
Nearing the end of the 3rd Q and Steel leads by 2.
Why oh why does Wills have Wilson out there. She shot one goal in that quarter and isn’t looking near the post, nor her middies looking to pass to her. Hume is keeping them in it at the moment.
Blimey, Hume has shot more than Fisher.
3/4 time: Steel 37-35
An opportunity lost for Stars to equalise yet again, and Metuara goes swish at the other end. The season is on the line now for Stars. They need to win. Wilson had just 1/1 in that whole 3rd Q while Hume went 10/10 to keep them in the game.
Sounds like this ref is babying Wilson now. Telling Fafita to keep out of her way.
Why have 4 shooters in your squad if you’re not going to use them in your most important game of the season??
Best game I have ever seen Hume play. Pleasantly surprised and I look forward to seeing her in the Silverferns.
This ref is going to lose the game for Steel!,
We’re back level!
How quick was Saunders on that chase…
Good grief, that was not Falkner’s fault. Poor woman.
Full time: Steel 46-45
Monica Falkner’s in tears. Her shot would have tied the scores towards the end. Stars really missed a dominant GS. Wilson just wasn’t the player we’re used to seeing.
Congrats to Steel on qualifying for the playoffs!!!
