      Poor Te Paea looked shattered.

Yep Toeava and Mes will always be 50/50 for me. I always expect bad turnovers from them.

That Stars front end is beautiful to watch. Silky smooth.

                  1/4 time: Stars 18-9

Halfway through the first Q, the score was 7-6 in Stars’ favour. Since then, they’ve really put the foot down and scored 11 goals to 3! Elle Temu having another great game and Wilson dominating at the other end.

Semple really needs to work on her conditioning. She has nice touches on the ball but doesn’t put the effort in in Defence and looks off the pace out at GA.

Hume has clearly been hitting the post in the off-season. Great shooting. She’s becoming a far more complete GA, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her in the Ferns’ squad.

                        1/2 time: Stars 33-22

Magic more competitive, but Stars edged another 2 goals further ahead in the 2nd Q. Sadly, not a happy game for Caitlin Bassett with 6 turnovers. Williams and Semple now in the circle.

Khiarna Williams is excellent. Such great athleticism and positioning, she reminds me of Garbin. The Stars on the other hand are collapsing, they need a change in that attack end I think.

Great volume and accuracy from Hume. I bet Taurua and Fuller are following her season with interest.

Hume is playing very well. Which is great for the Ferns too.
I wonder if Falkner will head back to Magic next year, if Hume continues to play good?

I was always a bit surprised that Falkner left the Magic straight after an ACL. I definitely don’t think it would be a bad move for her to work on building a connection with Williams, she could definitely be a Fern come next cycle.
